Selfridges will launch House of Deréon this autumn…
We had a hunch that something was brewing when photographers snapped Beyoncé browsing Selfridge’s palatial shoe hall during the middle of the day earlier this month. And we were right—the singer and mother Tina Knowles are set to introduce their House of Deréon line to the UK with a launch at the fashion hub this September.
The Knowles women have designed House of Deréon since 2005. Named after Beyoncé’s grandmother, Louisiana dressmaker Agnéz Deréon, the brand is inspired by the singer’s audacious, figure-conscious personal style.
Today, Beyonce took over Central Park as she stormed the stage for Good Morning America’s Concert Series. Reports have said that usually, GMA doesn’t do their shows in Central Park, but with the turn up being so large, they had to, fans were showing up the night before! Beyoncé released 4 on Tuesday (June 28), and she’s taking fans behind-the-scenes of her new album in the MTV special “Beyoncé: Year of 4,” set to premiere on Thursday at 7 p.m. ET/PT on MTV and BET, and at 7:30 on VH1 and Palladia (encore presentations will air later on MTV.com, MTV Hits and MTV Jams).
The special was filmed during Beyoncé’s year off, as she set out to discover what she wanted next in her career. It kicks off as B wraps up her I Am Tour, and finds herself at a crossroads before eventually giving into her mother’s advice to take some time off.
