Lenox Hill Hospital Executive Director Frank Danza issued the following statement in response to inaccurate news media reports regarding the presence of the Carter family at the hospital:
“Lenox Hill Hospital and its staff were delighted to welcome the Carter family for the birth of their firstborn on Saturday evening, but we are troubled by the misinformation being circulated in some news media reports. The suggestion that the couple paid $1.3 million to rent an entire maternity floor is simply not true. The family is housed in an executive suite at the hospital and is being billed the standard rate for those accommodations. Our executive suites are available for any patient, including the food service and amenities provided to the Carter family.
On Friday, musician and Rimmel London spokesmodel Solange Knowles celebrated her 25th birthday. Big sister Beyoncé was in the UK preparing for a performance at the Glastonbury Festival, but she did make sure to arrange a special surprise for Solange’s big day.
According to Page Six, Beyoncé had 25 pairs of designer shoes from Saks and Bergdorf sent to her sister’s home on Friday. Knowing Beyoncé’s taste, the shoes must have been out of this world amazing.
She knows her little sister well: Once, the younger Knowles sister told Refinery29: “I’m all about the shoes! I order a ton of them online and play with my entire wardrobe until I find the right shoe. Unfortunately, so many people get it right from the head until the ankles. The shoe is very important. I can’t even f**k with you if your shoe game is slacking.”
JustJared has the advantage to review Beyonce’s new album which has been named “4″. Below is the whole review & he has also reviewed the music video.
SONG #1 ———- Part of the song, tentatively titled “Till The End of Time,” has already leaked on YouTube. “The bass line was inspired by [Nigerian musician and composer] Fela Kuti,” Beyonce shared with JustJared.com. “It’s my nephew Julez’s favorite song.” (JJ Tidbit: Jay-Z produced the Broadway musical Fela! about the late Nigerian singer.) – (more…)
In the next chapter of her career, Beyoncé certainly seems dedicated to breaking new ground. It takes guts for one of the world’s biggest pop stars to release such a stridently unconventional single as the militaristic, beat-driven “Run the World (Girls),” built around a freaky sample from relatively obscure indie favorites Major Lazer’s club hit, “Pon de Floor.”
That’s just the first salvo in the unexpected collage of sonic textures and unique song structures on her new album, which features edgy new collaborators like Switch (who makes up half of Major Lazer) along with established hitmakers like The-Dream. “There’s nothing safe about it, I know that much,” says The-Dream, who cowrote Beyoncé’s career-redefining anthem, “Single Ladies (Put a Ring on It),” and was called in to help pen the new album’s lead single. “That [kind of song treatment] would never happen with any other artist of her stature, male or female.”
Good Morning America announced its sizzling 2011 Summer Concert Series lineup with the hottest chart-topping acts in the country and the biggest names in music.
From mega-watt stars including Lady Gaga, Beyonce, Mary J. Blige and Jennifer Hudson, to pop sensations Selena Gomez, Nicki Minaj, all Top 11 American Idol contestants, Taio Cruz, Florence and the Machine, and The Goo Goo Dolls, to country superstars Brad Paisley and Miranda Lambert, there’s something for everyone this summer.
Plus, don’t miss the best nostalgia acts with The GO-GO’s in their final television performance, and Debbie Gibson and Tiffany on stage together for the first time.
As the single get’s closer and closer to it’s release, more and more snippets are being leaked. Here is one that leaked the other day. It sounds like a smash to me. Stay tuned for more information & news on this topic.
Beyoncé is said to have hired 200 African dancers for her forthcoming music video. Music Rooms reports that the former Destiny’s Child singer has recruited the help of the dancers to give her next promo a native feel. It is thought that Queen B flew the dancers over to Los Angeles for the video shoot, which is for the first single from her brand new LP, rumoured to be released in June.
Beyoncé is allegedly learning some authentic dance moves from the 200-strong troop, which she is hoping to incorporate into the choreography for the promo.
Grammy-winning rapper Jay-Z has opened up about his marriage with R&B singer/wife Beyonce Knowles and explained how he, in fact, is responsible for some of her biggest dance moves.
According to Hova, they both tend to “steal” one another’s swag for performances.
“She’s actually in Trinidad, she has a concert,” Jay told television personality Jonathan Ross. “[We go to each other's concerts] all the time. Of course, she’s a magnificent performer. I steal routines from her, she stole many things from me, you know, I see it on stage, the whole, her whole dance. [smiles] I started that. You probably don’t know what that is. Yeah, I actually created that ['Put A Ring On It'] dance, it was me, again. I said you should [wave your hands] and she, you know, did it and I wouldn’t really tell anybody this but you asked me so I don’t want to make it seem like I’m making myself more important. [On Valentine's Day], she was in Peru and I was in Denver on my way to [the United Kingdom], and it was like a, very romantic. Skype.”
Beyoncé recently appeared on the “Tyra Show” and spoke on giving Jay a televised shout-out during this year’s Grammy Awards.
“I wanted to run off the stage. Like “what did I just say”. He was shocked like “what are we doing? What are you doing?” but it was just a genuine moment and I looked in the audience and I saw my nephew and I saw my cousin Angie and I saw him..and it’s the first thing that came to my mouth. I didn’t think about it, it just came out. After I walked off the stage I just bawled because that’s when I realized what just happened to me and everything I have been working for my whole night, it paid off that night.”
After her sold out “I AM…” World Tour, international superstar Beyoncé marks the last date of the South American leg of the tour by donating 300 tickets to lucky fans in Trinidad.
The fans will be chosen by The United Way of Trinidad and Tobago and the tickets will be distributed on the morning of Thursday, February 18, 2010. Beyoncé will perform in Queen’s Park Savannah the evening of February 18 with local soca star Machel Montana on the bill as the opening act.
Beyoncé recently extended her 2009 “I AM…” World Tour to South America for a series of live concerts that began February 4, 2010 at Parque Planeta in Florianópolis, Brazil. The two-week run took the entertainer from Brazil to Argentina, Chile and Peru. She played to her biggest live concert audience ever in Sao Paulo, Brazil, where a crowd of 60,000 fans gathered. –
Put a championship ring on it: Beyoncé was far and away the queen of gold and platinum sales milestones during the past decade.
The RIAA on Wednesday released a compilation of its awards for 2000-09, and the heavily Grammy-ed songstress leads the field with 64 certifications, including albums, digital songs, master ringtones and music videos. The one-time Destiny’s Child singer also led the league in ringtone certifications with 19.
The highly anticipated concert DVD from Beyonce "Live at Roseland" has finally been released and is selling out in stores everywhere. Make sure to purchase your copy today! Available now at Wal-Mart.
