More than 70 artists have lent their voices to a new version of the charity song “We Are The World” to raise money for earthquake victims in Haiti.

The stars came together late Monday at the same studio in the city of Los Angeles, California where the original song was recorded 25 years ago.

Among those taking part in the new version were singers Barbra Streisand, Celine Dion and Natalie Cole and hip-hop artists Kanye West and Wyclef Jean, who was born in Haiti.

The effort took place under the direction of Quincy Jones, who produced the original, and singer Lionel Richie, who co-wrote the single with the late Michael Jackson.

The original “We Are The World” was meant to benefit hunger victims in Africa and included performers Bruce Springsteen, Stevie Wonder, Bob Dylan and Tina Turner.

The song tells listeners the human race must work together to “make a better day” for all. None of the original artists were included in the new version.

This means that she won the most awards of the night, and also defeated her previous record of 5 from the Grammy Awards in 2004. Congratulations!

Beyoncé Knowles is gearing up for the big game! Only ET is on the set of the pop star’s Super Bowl commercial spot for the high-definition TV maker Vizio.

The singer is the newest spokesperson for Vizio, and her one-minute commercial is set to run during the game’s fourth quarter. The spot was directed by three-time Oscar nominee for cinematography, Wally Pfister, best known for his work on ‘The Dark Knight’ and ‘Batman Begins.’

“It’s an honor for me to know that I’m going to be a part of the great commercials in 2010,” Beyoncé says of the experience. “It’s a little bit of pressure because they have genius commercials. We have to make sure our commercial is really cool because all the guys will be watching.”

On Sunday, February 7, the New Orleans Saints take on the Indianapolis Colts in the Super Bowl XLIV, airing on CBS.

Beyoncé Knowles has shown she is still hot in an ad for her new perfume, Beyoncé Heat.

The 28-year-old is very excited about her brand, an earthy blend of red vanilla orchid and honey.

‘The name Heat, it sounds simple – it sounds hot and sexy, like Texas,’ she says.

‘I wanted to make sure that it wasn’t too overbearing, because I’m very private and I didn’t want it to be something that everybody could smell. You have to allow someone into your space…

‘I grew up with my mother walking past and you could smell the faint scent of her fragrance.

‘It always gave me this sense of comfort. I just thought it was so beautiful that she would walk by and leave her scent.’

The Texan can be heard performing a sultry version of Fever on the perfume’s website.

Although she has lent her image to perfumes before, this is the first time the singer has launched her own brand, which will go on sale in the US in February.

She says: ‘I’ve done endorsements for two other fragrances, and I was part of the process slightly.

‘Now, this time, it’s finally my fragrance and it’s something that will be around that I can pass on to my kids.’

Jay-Z has already pledged his allegiance to George Clooney and Wyclef Jean’s benefit for Haiti, and now his wife has also signed on.

The singer, who recently announced that she would be taking a break this year, will participate in “Hope for Haiti Now: A Global Benefit for Earthquake Relief,” reports MTV News. She will appear in London with Jay-Z, U2’s Bono and The Edge, and Rihanna, but it is unconfirmed if she will perform.

Other celebrities lending their star power to help raise relief for the earthquake-ravaged country include Justin Timberlake, Alicia Keys, Christina Aguilera, Mary J. Blige, Jennifer Hudson, Shakira, and Stevie Wonder.

The two-hour “Hope for Haiti Now” telecast will air commercial-free on Friday at 8 p.m. ET/PT.

I think it’s very nice that Beyoncé cares about the people over in Haiti. She is very good for helping them. Make sure you tune in on Friday!

Beyoncé wants a baby.

“I definitely want to have a child, but I know from my nephew it’s a lot,” the 28-year-old tells the February issue of Allure.

“I hope that these things will just happen naturally. I still haven’t had time to relax.”

In her spare time, Beyoncé says she plays Spades online.

“I love it… it’s really fun because no one knows it’s me,” she said.

The Destiny’s Child singer – who is currently single – once dozed off during a romantic cinema trip with a prospective boyfriend and was snoring so loudly her bandmate Beyonce Knowles had to interrupt and wake her up.

She explained: “Once I fell asleep. He was the nicest guy, but I just happened to fall asleep. We were at a movie and yes, he noticed that I fell asleep. Beyonce had to come up to me and say, ‘You’re snoring. We can hear you snoring back here.’ That was so embarrassing.”

The ‘Independent Women’ group – which also included Michelle Williams – are currently taking time off from the girl group to focus on their own individual projects.

However, the 28-year-old singer and Beyonce, also 28, are still great friends and haven’t ruled out a reunion.

She explained: “If I’m in New York and Beyonce is in New York, we’re there with each other. We pretty much like to stay in or we’ll go to a lounge – it depends if we feel like being out.”

I guess this puts an end to the Kelly and Beyoncé feuding rumors!
