It is very unfortunate that they are getting a divorce after 29 years of marriage, but they released a joint statement saying,
“The decision to end our marriage is an amicable one. We remain friends, parents, and business partners. If anyone is expecting an ugly messy fight, they will be sadly disappointed. We ask for your respect of our privacy as we handle this matter.”
Tina filed the divorce papers, which is rumored to be because of the paternity suit against Mathew.

Beyoncé is burning up in the print ad and TV commercial, below, for her first fragrance Beyoncé Heat, which goes on sale in February. Industry experts estimate it could do $100 million at retail globally in its first year.
The superstar explained the concept behind the fragrance. “A lot of my performances have had fire involved, so we thought ‘Heat.’ Also, red is one of my favorite colors, as is gold,” she told WWD. “Everything, from the bottle design to the name and the ideas for the commercials—that’s me.”
It should come as no surprise that on the first day of sales, the $1,600 VVIP tickets for Beyonce’s concert were sold out at bmobile’s Brian Lara Promenade store in Port of Spain.
The event is part of the superstar’s I AM… World Tour extension to South America for a series of live concerts, beginning on February 4, 2010. The two-week run will end at the Queen’s Park Oval in Port of Spain on February 18.
Since the tour was launched in March, fans the world over have been rushing for tickets to see the Grammy Award winner perform live.
Tickets for what would be Trinidad and Tobago’s first major concert for 2010 went on sale online and at all bmobile and TSTT locations, as well as bmobile and TSTT authorised partners yesterday.
Graeme Suite, manager of media relations at Telecommunications Services of Trinidad and Tobago (TSTT), assured that the company was in the process of restocking the $1,600 tickets at the Port of Spain outlet.
Although he was unable to say how many VVIP tickets were initially sold, it is being anticipated that 25,000 patrons will attend the concert.
’A lot of people are excited about the prospects about this once-in-a-lifetime opportunity and people are making active plans to be part of this unique experience.
’Many people have been enquiring about the tickets at our various stores and we have been receiving a lot of calls as well,’ he said.
Suite said VIP tickets for the ’Ash Thursday’ event, which are priced $1,000, and general admission tickets, which cost $450, were also being bought.
LAS VEGAS — Wynn Las Vegas officials say they’re in preliminary talks with Beyonce to bring the superstar singer back to the Las Vegas resort.
Wynn Resorts spokeswoman Jennifer Dunne says there’s no deal yet, despite published rumors of a lucrative, long-term contract.
Beyonce (bee-AHN’-say) appeared at the resort from July 30 through Aug. 2 this year while filming a concert DVD. Her shows helped boost visitation to Wynn and its sister Encore Las Vegas resort during a typically slow tourist season in Las Vegas.
Beyonce sang in the Encore Theater, where country star Garth Brooks plans to play a series of solo acoustic shows starting on Friday. Brooks’ deal puts him in Las Vegas 15 weeks a year for possibly the next five years.
That must be a huge honor for Beyoncé! Congratulations!
NME, the popular UK music magazine, had its critics and staffers vote a 100-strong list of the best songs of the decade. At the top is Beyonce’s 2003 Rich Harrison-produced track, “Crazy In Love.”
The track, which features Jay-Z, hit #1 in the U.S. and the UK and comes in at #1 on the NME list. Beyonce’s horn-laden single beats out songs like MGMT’s “Time to Pretend” and The Strokes’ “Hard to Explain” for the top spot. Outkast and Yeah Yeah Yeahs both score two entries in the top 20.

Forget everything Al Gore has ever told us — it turns out that it’s Beyoncé who’s destroying the Earth. Or at least the huge pieces of gold bling hanging from her ears.That’s because celebrity gold-buying habits are just about as detrimental to the environment, indigenous people and the world at large as driving that H3 to your job at ExxonMobil.
That’s according to No Dirty Gold, a Web site that breaks down the impact of gold jewelry production by some of the, uh, less responsible companies in the industry. Gold mining might even be the worst thing ever, and at least as bad as Big Al’s recent appearance on “30 Rock.”
“To produce a single gold wedding band,” says No Dirty Gold Campaign Director Payal Sampat, “a mining company must blast the earth, dig out the gold, crush it, spray it with cyanide, and so on.” All told, it takes a staggering 20 tons of mine waste to produce a single wedding band. And that’s nothing compared to what it costs to manufacture those gold earrings Ms. Knowles is wearing in the above snap. Judging by the size of those things, at least 300 lbs. of waste was produced to manufacture her appearance.
The singer was made fun of in the past for wearing giant gold earrings to the beach, but Sampat notes that Mrs. Jay-Z probably wasn’t aware of the damage she was doing: “I would say Beyoncé had no idea that her earrings could be linked to human rights abuses and health problems in these communities.”
